Quickscan
What a consultant checks first: Natura 2000, National Parks and Ramsar wetlands, the public-law restrictions from the Wkpb register, rijksmonumenten, beschermde stads- en dorpsgezichten and World Heritage, the flood defences with their protection zone from the legger, and the province's water abstraction areas, groundwater protection areas and boringsvrije zones. The omgevingsplan and the Natuurnetwerk Nederland are missing here; for those, consult the Omgevingsloket and the provincial omgevingsverordening.

Nature
For the quickscan natuur and the natuurtoets: the Natura 2000 sites split by Habitats Directive and Birds Directive, so that for each site you can see under which directive the conservation objectives apply, together with the Nationale Parken, the Ramsar wetlands and, at sea, the fisheries measures in the North Sea. The Natuurnetwerk Nederland is not yet available as a national layer; consult the provinciale omgevingsverordening for that.

Planning
What carries through into the omgevingsplan and the watertoets: Natura 2000, the national reservations for new autowegen, the Wkpb restrictions, beschermde gezichten, World Heritage and the archaeological and cultural-historical maps of the RCE, the flood defences, protection zones and peilbesluiten of the waterschap, the ROR risk areas and the province's drinking water protection. The omgevingsplan and the bestemmingsplan themselves are not available as a map layer; you read the rules in the Omgevingsloket.

Heritage
For the heritage and archaeology desk study: rijksmonumenten with the link to the register, gemeentelijke monumenten from the Wkpb register, rijksbeschermde stads- en dorpsgezichten, world heritage with buffer zones, rijksbeschermde groenaanleggen, the Archeologische Monumentenkaart and the cultuurhistorische aandachtsgebieden from CultGIS. The gemeentelijke archeologische verwachtingskaart and the municipal heritage register remain authoritative and are not included here.

Water
Everything you discuss with the waterschap and the province: the legger with flood defences, waterstaatswerken and protection zones, the normtrajecten of the primaire keringen, the peilbesluit areas, the KRW water bodies of Rijkswaterstaat, the ROR risk areas and the waterwingebieden, grondwaterbeschermingsgebieden and boringsvrije zones. Not every waterschap supplies every layer, so an empty result is no proof that no zoning applies.

My parcel
What burdens a parcel: the public-law restrictions from the Kadaster's Wkpb register, rijksmonumenten and beschermde groenaanleggen, beschermde gezichten and World Heritage, Natura 2000, the waterstaatswerk and the protection zone of the waterschap, the peilbesluit, the province's drinking water protection and the national reservations for new autowegen. Every hit refers to a decision or a register; obtain it before you assume that a restriction applies.

Known gaps, stated plainly
What is not here, and why. These lines come from the app and are removed the day a layer ships.
- No omgevingsplan or bestemmingsplan layer: the omgevingsdocumenten are published as a map image, not as a service this app can query feature by feature. Read a parcel's zoning in the Omgevingsloket.
- No Natuurnetwerk Nederland layer yet. The provinces publish it together and it is on the list. No houtopstanden either: the bebouwingscontour houtkap is published per province, not as one national service.
- Gemeentelijke monumenten appear only as a Wkpb restriction, which names the legal basis and the municipality, never the building.
- The European Netherlands only: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba are not covered. And not every waterschap delivers every layer, so an empty result does not prove there is no zoning.
- Species layers are open-licence GBIF records only, live and never downloadable. Most Dutch observations are shared under a non-commercial licence and are therefore absent; there is no NDFF link.
