What this layer shows
The linear surface water bodies under the Water Framework Directive, the rivers and canals managed by Rijkswaterstaat. Here too, objectives apply for ecological and chemical status that an intervention may not cause to deteriorate, and the thema_id field gives the European water body code by which the water is cited in reporting. This layer contains only the rijkswateren, not the regional water bodies of the waterschappen.

Not every waterschap supplies every layer, so an empty result is no proof that no zoning applies.
