Merestone is made by one person, and the email below reaches him. Say what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead, and it gets fixed.
For anything: a bug, a wrong boundary, a licence question, a purchase that did not arrive, a wording that reads badly in your language.
Getting started on the web
- Open the map, choose a country and switch on a preset. The free layers need no account.
- Tap any shape for its record: name, code, area, and a link to the publisher's own page where the publisher provides one.
- Sign in with your email to unlock the Pro layers you own. No password: a link arrives by email and you stay signed in for 30 days on that device.
- The link in the address bar carries your view. Copy it to send a colleague exactly what you are looking at.
Common questions
A layer says it is waiting for zoom.
Dense national layers hold back until you zoom in, so the map stays fast and the publisher's service is not asked for the whole country at once.
A layer shows nothing where I expected something.
Check the layer's own page for what it covers: some datasets are one nation or one region only, and each page says so. If the publisher's service is down, the layer says so on the map rather than drawing an empty area.
Is this the same data as the government sites?
Yes. Merestone asks the same official services, live. It is an independent product, not affiliated with any agency, and boundaries should be verified against the official source before professional reliance.
I bought Merestone in the app. Does the website know?
It can. In the app, open Settings, then Merestone account: sign in and link your App Store purchases, or show a code and enter it on your account page here. A country bought in the app unlocks the same layers here, at no extra cost. A Merestone Worldwide subscription taken on the website works in the app when you sign in there with the same email. A refund through Apple removes the purchase here too.
How do I cancel Merestone Worldwide?
Bought on the web: open your account page and choose Manage subscription, which opens Stripe's own page. Bought in the app: Settings on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, then Subscriptions under your Apple Account.
Does the website work offline?
No. The app does: it downloads layers for use with no signal. The website shows what the services answer right now.
