Rijksmonumenten
What this layer shows
Rijksmonumenten are designated by the State and entered in the rijksmonumentenregister. Changing, altering or demolishing a rijksmonument in principle requires an omgevingsvergunning for a rijksmonumentenactiviteit; only routine maintenance that leaves detailing, profiling, form, material and colour unchanged is exempt (Bal art. 13.11). The points show the registration and not the legal boundary, and for many monuments the geometry is only approximate. The RCE itself states that this dataset is not suited to uses that require an accurate and complete picture of where rijksmonumenten are located, so treat a hit as an indication and consult the register. The register holds no object names; objects therefore appear here under their rijksmonument number, with the category in the subtitle and a link to the official register page.

What a consultant checks first: Natura 2000, National Parks and Ramsar wetlands, the public-law restrictions from the Wkpb register, rijksmonumenten, beschermde stads- en dorpsgezichten and World Heritage, the flood defences with their protection zone from the legger, and the province's water abstraction areas, groundwater protection areas and boringsvrije zones.
