Floodplains designated individually by ordinance under the former Water Act, or put on public display, with the watercourse and the date of the legal act. They complement the HQ100 areas and in places extend beyond them; the restrictions of § 78 WHG apply here too.

The water-law side of a site: drinking-water and medicinal-spring protection areas with their zones, designated flood plains and flood hazard maps, Saxony’s flood-generation areas, and bathing waters. Flood plains designated under § 76 WHG are subject to the construction safeguards in § 78 WHG, including statutory exceptions and possible approvals by the competent authority. The map does not replace the authority’s assessment of a specific proposal.
