What this layer shows

Nature parks under § 27 BNatSchG from the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation's nationwide register. States with their own nature-park layer in the app are shown there; parks that cross a state border appear here in full. A nature park bans nothing itself; the protected areas inside it decide. The BfN says the data is not suitable for planning.

Protected areas

Every area-based protection at once: Natura 2000, nature and landscape protection areas, national parks, national natural monuments and biosphere reserves with their three zones, plus the nature parks and Ramsar sites the European return leaves out. The nature parks come per state or from the BfN's national register, the Ramsar sites from some states only.

Bestandsaufnahme

Where an ecological consultant or a planning office starts: the protected-site network, the small designations (natural monuments and protected landscape components), the biotopes protected by law, the Annex I habitat types with their critical loads, and the species records. The small designations and biotopes are available where that state publishes them openly.
