Biosphärenreservat — Kernzone
What this layer shows
The core zone of a biosphere reserve: the part intended to develop largely free of human influence, and protected as a nature reserve under § 25(3) BNatSchG. This is the zone where the restrictions actually bite; the reserve as a whole says nothing about that. The underlying data is what Germany last reported to the European Environment Agency; the legally binding boundary is the ordinance held by the competent nature conservation authority.

Schutzgebiete
Every area-based protection at once: Natura 2000, nature and landscape protection areas, national parks, national natural monuments and biosphere reserves with their three zones, plus the nature parks and Ramsar sites the states publish and the European return leaves out. Nationwide, the nature parks excepted.
Bestandsaufnahme
Where an ecological consultant or a planning office starts: the protected-site network, the small designations, natural monuments and protected landscape components, the biotopes protected by law, the Annex I habitat types with their critical loads, and the species records. The small designations and biotopes are available where that state publishes them openly.
