What this layer shows
Compensation areas (Ausgleich und Ersatz) from the LfU's Ökoflächenkataster: land on which impacts are offset under the nature-conservation or building-law impact regulation, with the project, the approving authority and the development goal. They are legally secured and to be kept permanently, so they are not available for further compensation.

Land already allocated to a measure, and habitat banking sites still to be had. Land once committed cannot serve as compensation a second time (§§ 13 ff. BNatSchG), which is why this layer belongs at the start of a compensation design and not at the end.
