What this layer shows
Eco-account areas (Ökokonto) from the LfU's Ökoflächenkataster: measures planned or carried out in advance to offset future impacts, with starting condition, development goal and legal basis. Until an area is booked out as compensation it is not legally bound and can still be used otherwise.

Land already allocated to a measure, and habitat banking sites still to be had. Land once committed cannot serve as compensation a second time (§§ 13 ff. BNatSchG), which is why this layer belongs at the start of a compensation design and not at the end.
