What this layer shows
The federal hunting-ban areas under Art. 11 of the Hunting Act and the Federal Hunting Ban Areas Ordinance (VEJ). They protect and conserve rare and threatened wild mammals and birds and their habitats. Hunting is prohibited in principle and the VEJ sets further rules of conduct; the type distinguishes areas with full and with partial protection provisions.
