What this layer shows
Reserves for waterbirds and migratory birds of international and national importance under Art. 11 of the Hunting Act and the Waterbird and Migratory Bird Reserves Ordinance (WZVV). They protect migratory birds and the waterbirds living in Switzerland all year at their staging, wintering and breeding sites. Depending on the sub-area a hunting ban and further restrictions apply, for example on boating; the protection category is given for each sub-area.
