Schützenswerte Ortsbilder von nationaler Bedeutung (ISOS)
What this layer shows
The Federal Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites of National Importance under Art. 5 NHG and the VISOS. In federal tasks it requires, like the BLN, preservation intact or the greatest possible care (Art. 6 NHG), and since the Federal Supreme Court's Rüti judgment (BGE 135 II 209) it must also be taken into account in cantonal and municipal land-use planning. For a project in an ISOS site, the conservation objectives of the site record are what count; they are linked from each site.

Building and planning
The rules a building project meets first: building zones, primary and overlay land use, planning zones, noise sensitivity levels, crop rotation areas, static forest boundaries and river space, national road building lines and aerodrome safety zones, polluted sites, ISOS and IVS. For a parcel, the ÖREB cadastre remains what binds.
Heritage and landscape
Heritage sites of national importance (ISOS), historic traffic routes (IVS), cultural property of national importance and UNESCO World Heritage, with the BLN landscapes, mire landscapes, geotopes and the Alpine Convention perimeter.
