What this layer shows
Historic traffic routes of national importance under Art. 5 NHG and the VIVS. In federal tasks the route and, where present, its traditional substance, paving, walls, roadside features, are to be preserved intact or spared as far as possible (Art. 6 NHG); the symbol distinguishes the historic route, the route with substance and with much substance. Cantons and municipalities take the inventory into account in their planning.
