Condicionantes
The designations a professional checks first: the Natura 2000 sites (ZEC and ZPE, the basis of the Avaliação de Incidências Ambientais), the mainland protected areas with their legal classification, the national inventory of classified areas (which covers Madeira and the Azores), the Ramsar sites, the water-domain servitudes (ARPSI flood extents, adjacent zones, abstraction protection perimeters and classified reservoirs) and the POOC and POAAP zoning. Does NOT include REN, RAN or PDM zoning, for a complete constraints plan, consult the municipality.

UNESCO Geoparks and the geosites of the Cadastro dos Valores Naturais, with their scientific interest and degree of vulnerability, over the protected areas that frame them. For geology, geotourism, and for anyone assessing impacts on geological heritage.
