What this layer shows
Water protection areas under § 51 WHG for groundwater and bank filtrate, divided into protection zones I to III. The prohibitions and restrictions sit in each area's ordinance and get stricter towards the abstraction point; zone I is the immediate catchment and is effectively closed to any use.

Water and flooding
The water-law side of a site: drinking-water and medicinal-spring protection areas with their zones, designated flood plains and flood hazard maps, Saxony’s flood-generation areas, and bathing waters. Flood plains designated under § 76 WHG are subject to the construction safeguards in § 78 WHG, including statutory exceptions and possible approvals by the competent authority. The map does not replace the authority’s assessment of a specific proposal.
