What this layer shows

The Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments of National Importance under Art. 5 NHG and the VBLN. Under Art. 6 NHG an inventoried object particularly deserves to be preserved intact, or at any rate spared as far as possible; in performing a federal task that may be departed from only where interests of equal or greater national importance weigh against it. Where an object may be significantly impaired, the Federal Commission for the Protection of Nature and Cultural Heritage (ENHK) delivers an expert opinion (Art. 7 NHG). The protection objectives a project is measured against are in the object sheet, linked from each site.
