What this layer shows
Recorded bats. GBIF records marked present under CC0 or CC BY 4.0, with up to 300 records requested per view. An empty map proves neither absence nor that no records were submitted: licensing, location checks, precision filters and the display limit affect what appears. Records with stated uncertainty over 10 km are omitted; over 1 km they are drawn as circles. These historical records are not a site survey or a determination of legal protection. A record does not establish a current nest or roost location.
Not in the app's radius search: Observation records, not designations: an absence here is not evidence

Natura 2000
The Natura 2000 network of the three Regions: the Walloon and Brussels sites, and the Flemish habitat- en vogelrichtlijngebieden. This is the free set, the one the map opens with everywhere in Belgium.
Desk study
What a consultancy or a notary checks first in Flanders: SBZ-H and SBZ-V with their sub-sites, VEN and IVON, Ramsar, nature reserves and natuurbeheerplannen, land-use designation and overdrukken from DSI, rights of pre-emption, protected heritage and archaeology, flood-prone land, signaalgebieden and drinking water protection zones. The rest of water, soil, land use and heritage sits in a set of its own.
