The core zone is the natural-process part, no longer managed; the management zone is the 500-metre margin where bark beetle outbreaks are actively controlled. The European return does not carry a national park's zoning, which is why it is here.

Every area-based protection at once: Natura 2000, nature and landscape protection areas, national parks, national natural monuments and biosphere reserves with their three zones, plus the nature parks and Ramsar sites the states publish and the European return leaves out. Nationwide, the nature parks excepted.
