Cadastro Predial (Madeira)
What this layer shows
The parcels of the Autonomous Region of Madeira's land cadastre (Cadastro Predial), kept by the Regional Directorate for Spatial Planning (DROTe): the cadastral identification number (NIC), the tax register article (artigo matricial), the section, the property type (R rural, U urban) and the cadastral area. Coverage is PARTIAL, because the region has not yet been fully surveyed: there are no parcels in the west of the island of Madeira, west of about 17.05° W (Calheta, Ponta do Sol, Porto Moniz and the town of Ribeira Brava), nor around São Vicente, and there are gaps in central Funchal. Porto Santo is covered. Where no parcels show, that does not mean there is no property there. No owners are included, and the boundaries shown do not replace a land registry certificate. Only shows when zoomed well in.

Madeira and the Azores
The set for working on the islands. ICNF's and APA's national layers cover the mainland only: these are the ones that answer on the islands: Natura 2000 and the national inventory of classified areas, on Madeira, Porto Santo, the Selvagens and the nine islands of the Azores. On Madeira come the regional layers: areas of potentially significant flood risk, sea cliffs, the land cadastre (still partial), the geological map, PDM zoning, landslide and fire susceptibility, coastal risks and the Santana and Porto Santo biosphere reserves. On the Azores, the Regional Government's layers: Ramsar sites, biosphere reserves, flood-risk zones, water-abstraction protection and vulnerable zones.
