What this layer shows
The winter rest zones under the 2014 ordinance on winter rest zones for wildlife (WRZV): areas that may not be entered in winter, so that chamois, red deer and grouse are left undisturbed. In the Rhine valley the ban runs from 1 January to 31 March, in the Alpine area from 15 December to 15 April.
