State protected-area habitat compartments

What this layer shows

Metsähallitus habitat compartments within state protected areas and areas reserved for conservation. Private protected areas and marine areas are excluded. Compartments describe surveyed or interpreted habitats, not new protection decisions. Check the assessment date and method: records can be old, incorrect or changed on the ground. A Natura habitat code does not make the whole compartment a separate Natura site. Boundaries are not legally binding. An empty map does not establish habitat absence. Source: Metsähallitus.
