What this layer shows
GTK regional acid sulphate soil mapping covers coastal areas and their catchments, mainly below the highest former Littorina Sea shoreline, at 1:250,000 scale. Probability classes and the separate acidic-sand overlay do not replace site-specific investigations. An empty area does not establish safe soil conditions. Map colour identifies the layer, not its probability class; check the class in the feature details. Geometry may be simplified for map display and offline use. GTK does not guarantee accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
