What this layer shows
The shore building exclusion zone, where new buildings and structures are banned (Nature Conservation Act § 38). It is 200 m on sea islands, 100 m elsewhere on the coast and 25–50 m on inland waters; the exceptions are listed in the Act. Reducing it outside towns and small boroughs needs the Environmental Board's consent (§ 40).
