Occurrences of planning-relevant species sensitive to wind turbines. For collision-prone breeding birds, Annex 1 to § 45b BNatSchG sets species-specific distances: a close range, a central and an extended assessment range, which for the red kite are 500, 1,200 and 3,500 metres. This country's radius ladder is built around them, so each of those ranges can be searched directly.
