Protected landscape components under § 29 BNatSchG: hedges, banked hedgerows, field copses and tree rows whose removal is prohibited. In Lower Saxony the banked hedgerows are the normal case: they define the Geest landscape and carry additional protection under § 22 NNatSchG.

The small designations and biotopes are available where that state publishes them openly.
