Water protection areas under § 51 WHG with their protection zone, date of decision and, where there is one, a link to the ordinance; many decisions date from the 1970s and 1980s. Unlike the nationwide layer, this one names the zone. Only the ordinance itself is binding.

The water-law side of a site: drinking-water and medicinal-spring protection areas with their zones, designated flood plains and flood hazard maps, Saxony’s flood-generation areas, and bathing waters. Flood plains designated under § 76 WHG are subject to the construction safeguards in § 78 WHG, including statutory exceptions and possible approvals by the competent authority. The map does not replace the authority’s assessment of a specific proposal.
