Septic Tank Inspection Zone 2 (Ireland)
What this layer shows
The EPA's higher-risk zone for targeting septic-tank inspections under the National Inspection Plan 2022–2026, made under the Water Services Act 2007: ground where less than a metre of soil, or nearby karst, lets waste water reach a bedrock aquifer and household wells. It says where inspectors are sent, not whether a site will pass a site suitability assessment; that is the EPA Code of Practice, a separate document. Zone 2 only: the published map's Zone 1 and Zone 3 are single national polygons of up to 640,000 points.
