What this layer shows
Hungary's ten national parks, nationally protected natural areas under Act LIII of 1996 on nature conservation, as Hungary reported them to the European Environment Agency. In a protected natural area many activities, such as changing the land-use class, ploughing grassland or building, need a permit from the nature conservation authority; the national park directorate manages the area.
