What this layer shows
Natura 2000 Special Areas of Conservation designated under the Habitats Directive, from the European Environment Agency's data (as at the end of 2024). A plan, programme or project that may significantly affect a site, even from outside it, needs a Natura 2000 impact assessment (hatásbecslés) under Government Decree 275/2004 (X. 8.). The authoritative, current boundaries are held by the ministry responsible for nature conservation.

Merestone asks this service live for the area on screen. Nothing is copied or stored beyond a short cache.
This layer is drawn from the European Environment Agency's annual return of what Hungary reports, not from a live service of the national body itself. A boundary changed this year appears here when the next return is published.

Natura 2000 and protected natural areas
Special areas of conservation and special protection areas (Natura 2000), national parks, protected landscape areas, nature conservation areas, natural monuments and Ramsar sites, from the European Environment Agency's data. The free starting view. Always check the designating legislation.
Planning constraints
Natura 2000; the national register of protected areas, the national ecological network and the relative inland excess water frequency (these three are waiting for permission); drinking-water protection areas, flood-risk areas and observed landslides. For a first screen of a plot.
