What this layer shows

Areas of high biological or ecological interest identified by the national inventory. A ZNIEFF prohibits nothing by itself, but leaving one out of a baseline study is a classic weakness in an impact assessment, and the reviewing authorities check for them systematically.

Constraints

The constraints a consultancy checks first: Natura 2000 (the basis of the impact assessment), nature reserves, biotope orders, ZNIEFFs, classified sites, historic monument surroundings and PPR flood perimeters. It does not include each PPR's detailed regulatory zoning or the PLU rules: consult the planning document for buildability.

Renouvelables

The constraints analysis of a wind or solar project: acceleration zones and excluded zonings (APER law), existing farms and turbines, high-voltage lines, nuclear installations, with Natura 2000, ZNIEFF and wetlands for the environmental stakes.
