England's Historic Parklands (Undesignated)
What this layer shows
Historic parkland drawn from the Ordnance Survey 2nd Edition and Hills Edition maps (1885–1913) and checked against current aerial imagery, where it is not a Registered Park and Garden. Natural England says that, read with the register and a Historic Environment Record search, it gives a parkland's fullest historic extent.

Heritage
The Historic England registers: scheduled monuments, listed buildings, registered parks and gardens, registered battlefields, World Heritage Sites and protected wreck sites. Wood pasture, parkland and traditional orchards are included because they are as often a heritage asset as an ecological one, and a designed landscape usually explains both.
