Water protection area Au under Art. 19 GSchG and Annex 4 GSchV: the usable groundwater and the margins needed to protect it. Buildings, installations, excavation and earthworks that could endanger the water need a cantonal permit here (Art. 19 para. 2 GSchG), and installations below the average groundwater level are in principle not allowed. Included: the cantons of AG, AI, AR, BE, BL, BS, FR, GE, GL, GR, JU, LU, SH, SO, SZ, TG, TI, UR, VS, ZG and ZH; cantons whose terms of use do not allow use in this app, or that do not publish the data openly, are not included.
