Zones of Notification around Ireland's recorded monuments: 81,409 zones. Works at or near a monument in the Record of Monuments and Places require two months' written notice to the Minister, in practice the National Monuments Service, under section 12 of the National Monuments (Amendment) Act 1994; starting sooner is an offence. The Historic and Archaeological Heritage Act 2023 will replace this regime but is being commenced in phases, so check the current position before relying on it.

Records of Protected Structures and Architectural Conservation Areas (Part IV, Planning and Development Act 2000) are held by the 31 local authorities and are not published nationally, so they are not in the app.
