Where birds have actually been RECORDED: openly licensed observations shared through GBIF, including the Canaries and the Balearics, drawn for the area you are viewing. An area with no points means nobody has contributed records there, not that there are no birds. ZEPA sites are the legal answer to the same question. Where the publisher locates a record no better than a kilometre, it is drawn as a circle of that stated radius instead of a dot.
