The zone around a drinking water abstraction in which the province, through the omgevingsverordening, restricts activities that could contaminate the groundwater, such as ground-source energy, discharges and the storage of substances. Many works are subject here to a prohibition or to a permit or notification requirement, and municipalities take account of it in bestemmingsplannen and omgevingsplannen. This is a national, indicative compilation by the RIVM; the province's omgevingsverordening remains decisive.

What a consultant checks first: Natura 2000, National Parks and Ramsar wetlands, the public-law restrictions from the Wkpb register, rijksmonumenten, beschermde stads- en dorpsgezichten and World Heritage, the flood defences with their protection zone from the legger, and the province's water abstraction areas, groundwater protection areas and boringsvrije zones. Planung
What carries through into the omgevingsplan and the watertoets: Natura 2000, the national reservations for new autowegen, the Wkpb restrictions, beschermde gezichten, World Heritage and the archaeological and cultural-historical maps of the RCE, the flood defences, protection zones and peilbesluiten of the waterschap, the ROR risk areas and the province's drinking water protection. The omgevingsplan and the bestemmingsplan themselves are not available as a map layer; you read the rules in the Omgevingsloket.

Everything you discuss with the waterschap and the province: the legger with flood defences, waterstaatswerken and protection zones, the normtrajecten of the primaire keringen, the peilbesluit areas, the KRW water bodies of Rijkswaterstaat, the ROR risk areas and the waterwingebieden, grondwaterbeschermingsgebieden and boringsvrije zones. Not every waterschap supplies every layer, so an empty result is no proof that no zoning applies.
